Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Assembly Restructure Tool

The assembly restructure tool allows you to reorder your assembly structure between main assembly and sub assemblies in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire. Below are the operations than you can perform using the assembly restructuring tool.

1. Move a component from main assembly to sub-assembly.
2. Move a component from sub-assembly to main assembly.
3. Move a component from sub-assembly to another sub-assembly.
4. Move a sub-assembly into different level of sub-assembly.

Download the assembly file used in the tutorial below: asm_restructure.zip
(Tải file đính kèm và thực hiện theo hướng dẫn bên dưới)

1. Extract the downloaded file and open the restructure.asm. You should get this in your model tree (see below).

5. Repeat the step 2 to step 4 to move the PART_A2.PRT to ASM_A.ASM. When you are done, your model tree should look like below.
Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Assembly Restructure done move 2
* The first component of an assembly or a subassembly is not able to restructure.
** You may face some missing references error when you are opening the subassembly with restructured components inside. To avoid this, you should open the main assembly first. Otherwise you can perform the Edit References to fix it.
